Edmonton… Brass knuckles, stun guns, and large bowie knives destined for Bonnyville, Alta. were intercepted and seized by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) in a joint investigation with Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).
Barrie Dinning, 51, was allegedly attempting to import a range of prohibited weapons, including 15 brass knuckles, 3 stun guns, and 9 bowie knives. The package originated in the United States, and was seized by CBSA, Greater Toronto Area Region, at the International Mail Processing Centre. ALERT conducted a follow-up investigation that led to Dinning’s arrest.
Dinning was arrested by ALERT Edmonton on October 21st, with RCMP Bonnyville providing assistance.
