Edmonton… Additional Edmonton families have come forward and presented new information to ALERT concerning an investigation into an Edmonton babysitter charged with child sexual exploitation offences.
Several families have contacted ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation unit and have provided more information on Edmonton babysitter Jason Michael Campbell. ALERT is asking additional families with information to direct their calls to the EPS Communications complaint line at 780-423-4567 or #377 from a mobile device.
ALERT is interested in hearing from Edmonton families who may have used Campbell’s babysitting services. At this point of the investigation ALERT does not have any evidence to suggest children in his care were sexually exploited, but that matter remains under investigation.
Campbell appeared in court on November 27 and has been released with several conditions imposed.
Campbell was arrested on November 23 and charged with possessing, accessing, and distributing child pornography. He was employed as a babysitter in the Edmonton area for the past 16 years.
