 Two people charged in Medicine Hat drug trafficking investigation

Medicine Hat…ALERT‘s Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team of Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) and RCMP members, charged two people as a result of a drug trafficking investigation.

On August 9, CFSEU-Medicine Hat, with assistance from the MHPS, concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrest of a man and woman in the southwest Hill area of Medicine Hat. Police seized 3.4 kilograms of marihuana, along with $7,000 cash. The marihuana has an estimated potential street value of $34,000.

As a result, two people have been charged:

  • Randall Lilly, 36-year-old, male resident of Medicine Hat, is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking. Lilly is currently in custody and will appear in court on August 13.
  • Amanda Perepiolkin, 30-year-old, female resident of North Battleford, is charged with possession of proceeds of crime. She has been released from custody and will appear in court again on September 24.

CFSEU-Medicine Hat is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources and tools to combat organized crime. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work for ALERT.
