fentanyl superlab being dismantled !

Edmonton… ALERT is currently conducting search warrants across the province as part of an ongoing investigation into large-scale fentanyl production.

ALERT conducted 13 search warrants on July 7, 2021. The search locations include homes and businesses in the Edmonton and Calgary areas, and a suspected fentanyl superlab located at a rural location just south of Calgary. Several suspects were arrested and more arrests are pending.

A number of specialized police teams and resources are involved including clandestine laboratory response teams of the RCMP, Edmonton Police Service, and Calgary Police Service. A wide variety of chemicals used in the production of fentanyl, and manufactured fentanyl, are in the process of being analyzed. The process is expected to last several days.
