Wainwright, Alberta – Seven suspected drug dealers have been implicated in a joint investigation between Wainwright RCMP and ALERT Edmonton’s organized crime and gang teams.
The arrests took place on between November 6-7, 2018, while simultaneously three Wainwright homes were searched. Cocaine, ecstasy, cannabis, and cash were seized, as investigators believe the accused were involved in street level drug sales.
The investigation began in October 2018 specifically to address community concerns related to street-level drug trafficking.
Five suspects have been arrested to date:
The accused will be appearing today in Wainwright Provincial Court. Warrants are currently being sought for two additional suspects.
