Valleyview, Alta. … Two adults are facing numerous charges after Valleyview RCMP, with assistance from Grande Prairie ALERT, executed a search warrant on a local residence last week.
On January 10, 2018, Valleyview RCMP and Grande Prairie ALERT executed a search warrant on a residence on 53 Street in Valleyview. The search warrant was granted as a result of a collaborative drug trafficking investigation involving local Detachment members and ALERT.
Investigators seized 18.7 grams of methamphetamine, 3.8 grams of crack cocaine, cash, drug paraphernalia, and bear spray from the residence.
Two adults from Valleyview were arrested inside the home and are facing charges. Angela Denise Tokar, 30, and Michael Louis Haynes, 41, have been jointly charged with the following:
Tokar faces an additional five charges including possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Both were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in Valleyview Provincial Court on February 1, 2018.
“Collaborating on projects targeting drug trafficking with our law enforcement partners is integral for our crime reduction strategy. We will continue our efforts in reducing crime in our community,” said Staff Sgt. Carolin Respet, Valleyview Detachment Commander.
