Marihuana Grow Operation investigation leads to charges against three Onoway area residents

Edmonton…ALERT’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Edmonton) Northern Alberta Green Team wrapped up a Marihuana Grow Operation investigation with charges against two men and one female with the seizure of over $125,000 in drugs and a large cache of weapons.

Two men and one female were arrested on scene and police seized 101 Marihuana plants, 3.5 lbs of processed and packaged marihuana, along with approximately four grams of marihuana oil.

With assistance from the Stony Plain RCMP, the team executed a search warrant at a residence located in the Onoway area. CFSEU-Edmonton located drug trafficking paraphernalia, a large assortment of weapons ranging from numerous high power rifles (27), shotguns (three), handguns (seven), and in excess of 2000 live rounds of ammunition.

The combined approximate street value of the marihuana is over $125,000.

As a result, three Onoway area people are charged:

  • Justin McLEOD and jointly charged Jennifer McCAULEY with;
  • 7(1) – Production of a controlled substance
  • 5(2) – Possession for the purpose of trafficking (2 counts)
  • 4(1) – Simple Possession (2 counts)
  • 86(1)-Careless Storage (23 counts)
  • 91(1)-Possession of a firearm while unauthorized (15 counts)
  • 91(2)-Possession of a firearm, knowing unauthorized (8 counts)
  • 95(b)-Possession of a weapon with accessible ammo (4 counts)
  • 54 Total charges against each accused
  • Ernest CALLIHOO
  • 7(1) – Production of a controlled substance
  • 5(2) – Possession for the purpose of trafficking (2 counts)
  • 4(1) – Simple Possession
  • 86(1)-Careless Storage
  • 91(1)-Possession of a firearm while unauthorized
  • 95(b)-Possession of a weapon with accessible ammo
  • 7 Total charges against this accused
