Lethbridge… Two Lethbridge residents have been arrested after an ALERT investigation resulted in the seizure of a variety of drugs, one handgun, cash, and stolen property.
ALERT Lethbridge’s organized crime and gang team made the seizure on July 26, 2019, to conclude a short-term drug trafficking investigation. Lethbridge Police Service provided assistance with the arrests and execution of search warrants for a vehicle and a home in the Indian Battle Heights neighbourhood.
“This seizure illustrates the collaborative effort between policing partners to keep Lethbridge safe and get harmful drugs off the street,” said Staff Sgt. Leon Borbandy, ALERT Lethbridge.
Inside the home, investigators drugs with an estimated street value of $75,000, including:
Alongside the drugs, ALERT located a loaded revolver and various amounts of stolen property, including jewelry items. The firearm had its serial number removed and will be submitted for analysis.
Eldon Myers, 47, and Cheri Komar, 50, have been jointly charged with possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of stolen property, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of break-and-enter tools, and five firearms-related offences.
Myers was individually charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited.
