November 26, 2013

Lethbridge…A quantity of heroin and cocaine were seized after Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) executed a search warrant in the 3400-block of Spruce Drive South.

ALERT’S Lethbridge Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team made up Lethbridge Regional Police Service (LRPS) and RCMP members, searched the home on November 20th and also arrested two Lethbridge men without incident.

Forest Visser, a 19-year-old man, has been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and was released on bail after making his first court appearance. Cody Skinner, 27, was charged with two counts of breach and remains in custody.

Inside the residence, police found heroin and cocaine worth an estimated $7,500. They also seized $2,500 cash and various equipment associated with drug trafficking, including scales.

CFSEU-Lethbridge is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources to tackle serious and organized crime. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work for ALERT.
