Half a kilogram of cocaine seized in Brooks

Medicine Hat… A drug trafficking investigation by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) resulted in half a kilogram of cocaine seized and two people arrested.

On January 16, ALERT’s CFSEU-Medicine Hat with the assistance of the Brooks RCMP members arrested two Brooks men. The men were arrested at a traffic stop in Brooks with more than $50,000 worth of cocaine found in the vehicle.

Cameeron Blaine Myrkl, 52, and Mohamed Dualeh Ahmed, 30, were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Both are scheduled to appear in court on January 29, 2014.
