Grande Prairie… ALERT CFSEU wrapped up a one month investigation which resulted in 96 charges against 22 people. During the investigation, Grande Prairie ALERT CFSEU executed four judicially authorized search warrants at residences. This investigation resulted in police seizing a wide variety of drugs; heroin, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), marihuana, psilocybin (magic mushrooms), prescription drugs, valued at approximately $65,000. They also seized two firearms, several weapons (brass knuckles, bear spray, expandable baton) and approximately $12,000 cash. These seizures and charges include those that were previously reported to the media on September 26 and October 1st, 2013. In addition to the 22 people charged thus far, arrest warrants have been issued for additional people in relation to this investigation.

Erin McDonald(age 24 female) – Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(1) CDSA (2 counts)
Kim Morin (age 40 female) – Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(1) CDSA
Denise Boudreau (age 23 female) – Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(1) CDSA
Adam Wirth (age 23 male) – Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(1) CDSA (2 counts)
Brayden Stenvall (age 19 male) – Trafficking Cocaine S. 5(1) CDSA, Trafficking MDMA S. 5(1) CDSA (2 counts), Possession of marihuana and psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking S. 5(2) CDSA, Possession of Proceeds of Crime exceeding
$5000, S. 355(a) Criminal Code, Possession of a Weapon (brass knuckles), S. 88 CC.
Six young offenders were also arrested during the course of the investigation and released from custody on their own Recognizance. Several trafficking related charges are pending against them.

DRUGS AND FIREARMS SEIZED IN TWO ALERT INVESTIGATIONS
Grande Prairie ALERT CFSEU laid numerous charges against 8 Grande Prairie residents, with charges also pending against three youths, after wrapping up two investigations.
On September 26, 2013, CFSEU members, with the assistance of Grande Prairie Detachment and Police Dog Services, executed a vehicle stop in the Crystal Lake area of the city. Three occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody. Traffic was diverted during the arrests in the interest of public safety. A quantity of cash, cocaine, brass knuckles and bear spray were seized.
Police then executed a judicially authorized search warrant in the Meadow View Trailer Park. The search warrant was related to the vehicle stop. One male was taken into custody at the residence. Bear Spray, a loaded .380 handgun and cocaine and cash were among the items seized during the execution of the search warrant.

…Later in the evening, Grande Prairie ALERT CFSEU arrested seven people inside two vehicles in the parking lot of a business located on the 9300 block of 100 Street in Grande Prairie. During that arrest, police seized cocaine, marihuana, cash, bear spray, brass knuckles and a stolen shotgun.
Three Young Offenders were released from custody, with charges to be laid at a later date. Four adults were taken into custody and charged with the following offences:

John Wesloski is also facing one count of possession of a firearm while subject of a prohibition order S. 117.01 CC

-454 grams of marihuana (Street Value: $4540)
