Edmonton Man Charged After Printing Child Pornography at Grocery Store

November 29, 2013

Edmonton… A 33-year-old Edmonton man has been charged by Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) after allegedly printing child pornography at a local grocery store’s photo kiosk.

ALERT’s Northern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) team, with the assistance of Edmonton Police Service and the RCMP, arrested Bradley Lenz at his northwest Edmonton home on November 27th. He is charged with possession of child pornography and accessing child pornography.

“It is particularly disturbing that members of the public and store employees would be exposed to this horrific offense,” said Det. Brian Cross, an EPS member with the Northern ICE Unit. “ICE is grateful for the grocery store’s assistance in concluding this investigation.”

ALERT began the investigation after one of the store employees serviced the photo kiosk machine and discovered the explicit material. Investigators were then able to utilize store video surveillance to identify the man and execute a search warrant at his residence. After searching his home, additional child pornography images, DVDs, video tapes, and electronic devices were recovered.

ICE is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources to tackle serious and organized crime. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP and sheriffs work for ALERT.
