Grande Prairie…ALERT’s Grande Prairie Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) teamed up with the Hinton RCMP Detachment to tackle street-level drug trafficking in the Hinton area.
In late March, with help from CFSEU-Edmonton and RCMP, police executed search warrants at two Hinton residences. During this investigation, police seized various quantities of cocaine, methamphetamine and marihuana.
As a result, the following Hinton residents are charged:
The investigation is ongoing and police anticipate further arrests and charges.

CFSEU, made up of municipal police and RCMP members, is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources to tackle serious and organized crime. Over 400 municipal police, RCMP and sheriffs work for ALERT.
