Medicine Hat…A part-time Correctional Peace Officer at the Medicine Hat Remand Centre has been arrested and charged following allegations he delivered marihuana to inmates.
The Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team made up of Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) and RCMP members, have charged Ricki Raymond Fehr as result of a drug trafficking investigation.
Fehr, a 24-year-old man, was arrested at the remand centre on October 29, 2013. A search incident to his arrest yielded 54 grams of marihuana and $1,000 cash.
Fehr is charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. He is scheduled to appear in court on December 3, 2013.
CFSEU-Medicine Hat is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources to tackle serious and organized crime. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work for ALERT.
