Cocaine and Cash Seized in Lethbridge

Lethbridge… Cocaine and cash proceeds of crime were seized after Alberta Law Enforcement Response Team (ALERT) executed a search warrant in Lethbridge.

ALERT Lethbridge, an integrated police team consisting of Lethbridge Regional Police Service and RCMP members executed the search warrant at an apartment in the 300-block of 12 Street South. Investigators seized nearly $30,000 worth of cocaine, $30,000 in cash proceeds of crime, two pepper spray canisters, and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

 

Mahmoud Nafal, a 27-year-old from Edmonton was arrested on August 6th without incident. He is facing charges of:

  • possession for the purpose of trafficking;
  • drug possession;
  • possession of a dangerous weapon;
  • possession of proceeds of crime (x 3).

Nafal is due to appear in court on September 5th.
