Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) is a non-profit corporation that brings together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources to investigate serious and organized crime. ALERT is comprised of personnel from municipal police agencies, RCMP, and civilian staff that work together on elite teams throughout Alberta focusing on organized crime, human trafficking, auto crimes and child exploitation.
ALERT is looking to hire one (1) full-time, permanent, Civil Forfeiture Liaison for our Edmonton office.
The Civil Forfeiture Liaison is responsible for identifying and facilitating suitable referrals to the Alberta Civil Forfeiture Office (CFO) in coordination with investigating officer(s). The Liaison acts as the Alberta CFO’s primary contact within ALERT to ensure there is a mutual understanding of relevant processes between the Alberta CFO and ALERT, and ensures inquiries and referrals are addressed in an effective and timely manner. Working in close co-ordination with the Alberta CFO, the Liaison is also involved with providing training to law enforcement audiences across Alberta.
The salary range for this position is $95,000.00 to $105,000.00 per year.
The work arrangement for this position is in-person, on-site (not hybrid or remote).

Criminal Intelligence Service Alberta (CISA) has recently developed an Alberta Firearms Intelligence Centre (AFIC) to equitably expand access to firearms intelligence for all law enforcement agencies within Alberta. AFIC will provide timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence to law enforcement agencies and policy-makers to achieve the shared and collaborative goals of increasing public safety concerning firearm-related crimes.
