Medicine Hat…ALERT’s Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team of Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) and RCMP members, wrapped up two separate cocaine trafficking investigations with charges against six people.
On May 3, CFSEU-Medicine Hat, with assistance from the Brooks RCMP, executed two search warrants at an apartment building on Cassils Road West. The team seized approximately 65 grams of crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of $13,000. Marihuana, cash, and a stolen television were also seized.
The following Brooks’ residents face a total of 17 charges, including possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking:
All three accused will appear in court in Brooks on May 8.
The team continued its crackdown on drug trafficking that same day with help from the MHPS when they executed a search warrant that led to the seizure of approximately 66 grams of cocaine. The cocaine has an estimated street value of $9,200. Police also seized $3,000 cash.
As a result of this investigation, three Medicine Hat residents, all age 20, are charged:
All three men are scheduled to make their next court appearance on June 11 in Medicine Hat.
