Fort McMurray…Three simultaneous search warrants at three Fort McMurray residences netted $250,000 worth of drugs and property as ALERT concluded a drug trafficking investigation.
On November 12, Wood Buffalo Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Wood Buffalo), assisted by the Wood Buffalo RCMP Drug Section, executed search warrants in the 100-block of Beale Crescent, 200-block of Abasand Drive, and 8800-block of Franklin Avenue. A quantity of drugs and cash was seized, along with three vehicles, and a variety of stolen property.
Two Fort McMurray men were arrested and face eight charges as result of the investigation. Troy Dupont, 34, faces three weapons-related charges, four drug-related charges, and possession of property obtained by crime. Jason Pollock, 33, faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime. Both were arrested without incident.
The search warrants yielded CFSEU-Wood Buffalo a range of drugs, including marihuana, hashish, and oxycodone tablets, and nearly a kilogram of cocaine. The drugs have a street value of more than $110,000.
