Medicine Hat… ALERT‘s Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team of Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) and RCMP members, charged one man following an investigation into the trafficking of cocaine.
On April 30, CFSEU, along with members of MHPS, concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrest of a 26-year-old Medicine Hat resident. Grant Otterson was taken into custody during a vehicle stop on the Trans-Canada Highway near 3rd Street. Otterson was found in possession of 84 grams of cocaine with a potential street value of approximately $8,400. He has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and is due in court on May 7.
CFSEU-Medicine Hat is an ALERT team established and funded by the Government of Alberta to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources and tools to combat organized crime. Over 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work for ALERT.
