Fort McMurray…Three people face numerous drug trafficking charges after police wrapped up an investigation during which they seized several drugs, including over a kilogram of powder and crack cocaine.
On March 6, Wood Buffalo’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Wood Buffalo) executed a search warrant on Fullerton Drive in Fort McMurray. The Wood Buffalo RCMP Detachment provided assistance.
Along with the cocaine, CFSEU-Wood Buffalo seized 1,539 ecstasy tablets, 112 grams of heroin, 353 grams of marihuana, and 116 Oxycodone tablets. In total, the street value of the drug seizures amounts to over $225,000.
Drug trafficking paraphernalia, over $20,000 cash and a police scanner were also seized.
“With activity occurring near a school in this case, we are reminded how drug trafficking knows no boundaries,” said CFSEU-Wood Buffalo’s Sgt. Kirk Peyton. “With that in mind, our team will continue to target those who threaten the safety of our communities.”
The following Edmonton residents are charged with five counts each of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000:
