Lethbridge…ALERT’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU-Lethbridge) wrapped up a drug trafficking investigation in the town of Fort Macleod after the seizure of nearly 250 grams of crack cocaine.
CFSEU-Lethbridge is an integrated team of Lethbridge Regional Police Service (LRPS) members and RCMP.
With help from the High River, Claresholm and Fort Macleod RCMP, police arrested a man and a woman following a vehicle stop in High River on January 25. CFSEU-Lethbridge executed a search warrant on the vehicle and found 243 grams of crack cocaine.
The team then executed a second search warrant on a Fort Macleod residence in the 100 block of 22nd Street. As a result, the team seized approximately four grams of crack cocaine, three grams powder cocaine, a small amount of marihuana, and a small amount of cash. In total, the crack cocaine has an estimated street value of over $31,000.
