Medicine Hat… Two Medicine Hat residents have been arrested and charged following a drug trafficking investigation by Albert Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT).
ALERT’s Medicine Hat team, consisting of members of Medicine Hat Police Service and RCMP, executed a search warrant at a North West Medicine Hat home on December 9. Investigators seized seized 50 grams of cocaine, 110 grams of marihuana, and $2,000 in cash proceeds of crime.
Michael Poitras, 47, is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and other drug related offences. Poitras has been released on bail and is due back in court on December 23, 2014.
Lisa Mook, 40, is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and other drug related offences. Mook has been released on bail and is due back in court on December 23, 2014.
ALERT was established and is funded by the Alberta Government and is a compilation of the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources committed to tackling serious and organized crime. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work in ALERT.
