Medicine Hat… ALERT‘s Medicine Hat Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team of Medicine Hat Police Service and RCMP members, in partnership with the Redcliff Detachment of the RCMP, concluded a drug trafficking investigation on February 11 with the arrest of one man and one woman.
As a result of this drug trafficking investigation, two occupants of a residence at 233 1st Street SE in Redcliff, Alberta were arrested for drug related offences. A search warrant executed on the residence turned up 198 grams of cocaine, 2.27 kilograms of cannabis marihuana, 15 grams of cannabis resin, and approximately $18,585 cash as proceeds of crime. The combined estimated street value of the drugs seized was $47,000.
Arrested and charged is:
Schaffer and Bugbee were taken before a Bail Justice and released. The next court date for Schaffer is February 29, 2012. Bugbee will appear in court again on February 28, 2012.
