Lethbridge… More than $27,000 worth of crack cocaine was seized from a Lethbridge man and woman following an Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) investigation.
On April 1st, Lethbridge Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU), an integrated team made up Lethbridge Regional Police Service (LRPS) and RCMP members, seized 274 grams of crack cocaine following a traffic stop on Highway 2 just north of Fort MacLeod.
Tanner White, a 21-year-old man, and Tracy Soltesz, 43-year-old woman, were arrested without incident to conclude a short-term drug trafficking investigation. The two were alleged to be attempting to import the cocaine into the Lethbridge area.
Both were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. White also faces additional charges of possession of proceeds of crime and two counts of breaching of recognizance. White was arrested in a previous CFSEU-Lethbridge drug trafficking investigation in December 2013.
CFSEU-Lethbridge is an ALERT team established and funded by the Alberta Government to bring together the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources to tackle serious and organized crime. Nearly 400 municipal police, RCMP, and sheriffs work for ALERT.
