Asset 1ALERT-Wide-White
Disclosure Coordinator (12-month Fixed Contract)
Closes 14/05/2026

Disclosure Coordinator
Strathcona County, AB | Full-time | 12-month Fixed Contract

BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFUL PROSECUTION IS A FOUNDATION OF ACCURACY, DETAIL, AND TRUST.

At ALERT, our investigators take on serious and organized crime—but their work doesn’t move forward without strong, reliable disclosure. We’re looking for a Disclosure Services Coordinator who thrives on precision, organization, and working behind the scenes to ensure that critical information is complete, accurate, and ready for court.

This is a role for someone who takes pride in getting the details right, can manage complex information with confidence, and understands the importance of timelines in a high-stakes environment.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to the Disclosure Services Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting investigations by ensuring disclosure is accurate, complete, and delivered on time:

  • Prepare and manage disclosure packages for prosecution, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with disclosure standards
  • Review and process investigative documents, identifying gaps or issues and ensuring quality control
  • Track disclosure progress, manage deadlines, and coordinate timely delivery to Crown
  • Maintain and update disclosure databases and records across multiple systems
  • Respond to requests from Crown and investigative teams regarding disclosure status
  • Conduct database searches and update records across multiple systems
  • Prepare transcripts from audio recordings where required
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of disclosure processes and procedures
  • Provide guidance and support to investigative teams on disclosure requirements

This position is a 12-month fixed term contract, with potential for extension.

This position is part of a structured salary grid, with a starting hourly rate of $30.80 ($64,064,02). The position is eligible for overtime.

This role is based on-site at ALERT’s Strathcona County office (in-person work arrangement).

WHAT YOU BRING:
We’re focused on your ability to do the work—however you’ve built your experience.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in handling complex information
  • Proven ability to manage large volumes of work while meeting strict deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and prioritize multiple files simultaneously
  • Confidence working with databases, systems, and digital tools
  • Ability to assess information critically and identify gaps or inconsistencies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
  • Sound judgment and professionalism when working with sensitive information
  • Knowledge of court processes or disclosure requirements is an asset
  • Experience in law enforcement, legal, or public safety environments is an asset

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 6 MONTHS):

  • Disclosure packages are consistently accurate, complete, and delivered on time
  • You’ve built strong working relationships within the disclosure team, investigative teams and Crown partners
  • You’re confidently managing multiple files and deadlines with minimal oversight
  • Data and records are well-organized, up to date, and easy to track
  • You’ve identified opportunities to improve efficiency or accuracy in disclosure processes
  • You’re recognized as a reliable and detail-oriented contributor to investigative success

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work may be occasionally required outside regular working hours to meet operational demands
  • Able to work at a computer for extended periods of time
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time
  • Work is performed in a busy, open office environment with frequent interruptions
  • Requires sustained concentration, attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy
  • Occasional travel may be required, including potential overnight stays

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT:
This role is critical to the justice process. Your work ensures that investigations move forward, cases are supported, and the integrity of disclosure is maintained. If you’re someone who values precision, accountability, and meaningful work behind the scenes – this is an opportunity to make a real impact.

BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH ALERT:
ALERT provides meaningful work in an organization committed to making Alberta safer. As part of our corporate team, you’ll benefit from:

  • Paid Vacation accrued at a rate of three (3) weeks/year
  • ALERT observes 13 provincial and national holidays.

APPLICATION PROCESS:
Interested candidates should forward a resume and cover letter by email to careers@alert-ab.ca and indicate “Disclosure Coordinator” in the subject line.

Since 2022, CISA has been guided by four pillars that focus the effort to promote an integrated, intelligence-led approach to combating organized crime; these are:

  • Building Relationships with Stakeholders;
  • Promote Intel Sharing Across the Province;
  • Being Proactive and Identify Emerging Trends; and
  • Investing in Our People Through Training and Development

Criminal Intelligence Service Alberta (CISA) has recently developed an Alberta Firearms Intelligence Centre (AFIC) to equitably expand access to firearms intelligence for all law enforcement agencies within Alberta. AFIC will provide timely, accurate, and actionable intelligence to law enforcement agencies and policy-makers to achieve the shared and collaborative goals of increasing public safety concerning firearm-related crimes.
