Ces postes de police sont pourvus à l’interne en partenariat avec le service de police. Horaire de travail flexible

The Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams (ALERT) is a non-profit corporation that brings together the province's most sophisticated law enforcement resources to investigate serious and organized crime. ALERT corporate employees and seconded law enforcement personnel work together on Alberta-wide integrated teams focused on combatting organized crime, human trafficking, auto crimes and child exploitation. To ensure efficient and effective delivery of corporate human resource functions, ALERT is looking to hire one (1) full-time, permanent Human Resources Manager located in Edmonton. The salary range for this position is $108K to $117K per annum.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process for ALERT corporate employees
  • Develop, implement and monitor HR strategies and initiatives aligned with corporate objectives
  • Develop and manage assigned operational budgets to support operational and strategic needs
  • Proactively manage conflict and performance, while fostering a positive workplace culture through policies, programs, events, and HR-focused internal communications
  • Provide briefings, advise and expertise on handling of employee relations matters related to discrimination, harassment, and violence in the workplace
  • Anticipate and address the impact(s) of large-scale corporate and legislative changes as they relate to employment regulations
  • Assist the executive with implementation of short and long-term operational and strategic planning
  • Provide guidance to executive leadership on complex HR-related cases
  Employee Wellness
  • Research, develop and implement internal wellness strategies, plans and procedures
  • Research and administer employee engagement and wellness activities
  • Create annual employee engagement and wellness plans
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation; assist in developing and implementing health & safety policies and programs
  Employee Development, Performance Management and Training
  • Assist managers with employee development and performance management
  • In coordination with ALERT Training section, develop and deliver new employee orientation and ongoing mental health and wellness training
  General
  • Maintain benefits and employment records
  • Process short and long-term disability claims and develop an effective return to work program for injured employees
  • Establish and maintain relationships with policing partners, human resource and training departments and mental health professionals
  EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
  • Minimum three years of human resource management related experience, preferably in a law enforcement setting; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or CPHR candidate is an asset
  • Knowledge of and skill in the application of provincial labour legislation, regulations, policy frameworks, business processes and practices governing human resource management.
